Acne Studios, the Swedish high-fashion brand and creator of ready-to-wear, magazines, furniture, books, and exhibitions, has selected Centric Software to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) solution. Centric Software is the leading PLM solution for fashion, retail, footwear, luxury, outdoor, and consumer goods companies, based in the US.

Acne Studios had been using a custom in-house product data management (PDM) system to manage the design and production of their clothing lines but the rapid growth of the company soon outstripped the system’s capabilities. In early 2016, they began the selection process to find a PLM system that would support their expansion as well as their creative and collaborative approach to design.

Mattias Magnusson, CEO of Acne Studios said, “We had our in-house PDM and a web of Excel sheets that different people used. It was difficult to have all the information updated in one place for everyone to view and that made it time-consuming to develop a collection. We wanted to collaborate better, spend less time on administration tasks and spend more time developing better products.”

After a long selection process, Acne Studios selected Centric Software to implement its PLM solution. Acne was impressed by Centric’s helpful, knowledgeable approach and the system’s capabilities.

Magnusson said, “Centric is focused on fashion and retail businesses. They understand us as a company and we know we can build great things together. We can learn a lot from best practices and improve our processes from those learnings. Also, we don’t have to customise the system. We can just use it straight out of the box and configure it as we like.”

“Centric had been in contact with us quite early, before we had started our selection process. They have been there all along and are always available when we have questions. It’s a very good relationship. Centric are positive, always available, always proactive, and constantly have new ideas and features coming up,” he added.

Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software said, “We’re very pleased to announce that Acne Studios is our newest customer in the Nordic region. Acne Studios collaborative approach to creative fashion is fresh and is aligned to our approach to innovation. We look forward to partnering with Acne Studios now and as they keep growing.”Read more at:semi formal dress code
